This month’s edition of Lead + Follow — a Q&A section dedicated to further understanding the personal and professional mindsets of area business leaders — features Odette D’Aniello, founder and president of Celebrity Gourmet Ventures Inc.
D’Aniello has been with her current venture, which operates under the brands Celebrity Cake Studio and Dragonfly Cakes, for more than 25 years. She also is on the board of directors for the Tacoma-Pierce County EDB and recently started the “Celebrity Gourmet” podcast.
She began decorating cakes at age 10 at her cousin’s bakery on Guam, met her husband while attending college at the University of Arizona, then moved to Lacey, where the couple opened a café in 1999. D’Aniello shortly thereafter made the transition to cakes, on which she has focused since.
