Celebrity Cake Studio Celebrates 25 Years of Sweet Success
Sep 19, 2024
Tacoma, WA — Celebrity Cake Studio, a beloved family-owned bakery, is thrilled to announce its 25th anniversary this year! To express heartfelt gratitude for the amazing support from the community, the bakery is hosting a festive celebration on Sunday, September 22nd, inviting everyone to join the fun.
The anniversary party will take place at Celebrity Cake Studio and will feature music, games, and a special cake-decorating demonstration. Families can enjoy face painting and a lively atmosphere filled with good energy. The event is free to attend, and all are welcome to celebrate 25 amazing years in business and many more to come.
“We make cakes every day, and that’s what we’re known for, but you might not see what goes on behind the scenes,” said Odette D’Aniello, one of the founders and CEO of Celebrity Cake Studio. “We celebrate all kinds of sweet moments. My favorite is when we make a wedding cake for a couple, and then the next year, we make their anniversary cake, and then a baby shower cake, and then a first birthday cake—and on and on. We get to be a part of people’s milestones.”
Odette and her family are part of a long legacy of bakers, starting back before World War II in the Philippines, where their great-grandfather began baking bread using American rations. When Odette was 10 years old, the family moved from the Philippines to Guam, where they worked in their family’s bakery. The sisters learned how to decorate cakes to avoid slicing bread near the hot ovens in the island's humidity.
Odette D’Aniello and Mary Ann Quitugua opened Celebrity Cake Studio 25 years ago in Lacey, Washington. Initially known as “Celebrity Bakery,” it started as a café but soon became a custom cake bakery. The business moved to Tacoma’s Dome District in 2004, and for 20 years now, they’ve proudly called the city home. This family-run bakery includes their cousin, Wallace Bolo, Odette’s husband, David D’Aniello, and now Odette’s daughter, Milana, who has recently returned from college to work full time.
With their newest brand, Dragonfly Cakes, the team at Celebrity Cake Studio uses cake to express their creativity and play with designs and flavors, most importantly celebrating sweet moments, big and small, because that’s what they do best.
Please join Celebrity Cake Studio in celebrating this milestone occasion at their anniversary party on September 22nd! If you can’t make it, check out their website or stop by the bakery to say hi and learn more about their story of family, resilience, and celebration.
“Cheers to 25 years! And here’s to many, many more!” Odette said.
